Chamber Ambassadors
Chamber Ambassadors are a group of volunteers that are willing to serve a year-round effort as the customer service representatives of the Stanly County Chamber of Commerce and act as a liaison between the Chamber and its members.
The goal of this group is to increase the retention rate of new and existing members by conducting a program of goodwill calls; reinforcing the benefit of Chamber membership; increasing the members knowledge about its programs and services; promotes the Chamber’s image and value by making personal contacts with the members and knowing how the Chamber can better serve them; and keeps the channels of communications open between the membership and the Chamber’s Board of Directors.
Each year, there will be up to 10 Ambassadors from Chamber-member organizations.
Each Ambassador will serve a 1-year term starting.
Ambassadors are expected to attend Business After Hours and serve as public relations representatives of the Chamber.
The Ambassadors meet on a monthly basis to discuss visits/conversations with Chamber members.
Ambassadors are asked to either make a call or personal visit to the member. Four retention contact sheets are given at each monthly meeting. For each contact sheet turned in, the member will receive points. An incentive will be offered each quarter for the Ambassador who receives the most points. Points can be accumulated for attending Business After Hours, ribbon-cutting ceremonies, etc.
